The electrifying performance during American Idol was all an act?

It was shocking news to most when the marriage between Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony broke down. There was just no news of trouble while they were together. Maybe they were just good at keeping it all under wraps.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that their calling it quits had something to do with Marc's jealousy over her once again on the rise career and J. Lo's suspicions that Marc wasn't faithful. Apparently, he is pretty controlling of her wardrobe and business!

So how then did the marriage last seven years? An insider says that J. Lo has low self esteem and hubby Marc played into that insecurity of hers.

A friend of Marc's however claims that the couple "started to see life differently" and it had nothing to do with jealousy or cheating.

Nevertheless, J. Lo still found it in her heart to celebrate the wedding of another just days after the end of her marriage. She was pleasant and professional when she attended a lavish wedding in Ukraine and sang for a small fee of US$1 million for an oil tycoon.

A friend of hers told US Weekly that "she is looking forward to the future" despite her sadness over the split and "she feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!"
