Katy Perry has announced that proceeds from her new song, Part Of Me, will go to charity.
The singer debuted the song at the Grammy Awards during the weekend, and it has since rocketed up the iTunes chart to the top position. Earlier today, she tweeted that she was donating any proceeds to a fantastic cause.
“My proceeds of #PARTOFME from ITUNES & others will go to one of my favorite charities for the arts, MUSICARES,” she tweeted.
MusiCares ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need. Last week, the organization honored Paul McCartney as it’s 2012 Person of the Year for his charity work.
