This June, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will receive The Trevor Project's Hero Award for raising awareness of the non-profit group dedicated to supporting gay, lesbian, transgendered and bisexual youths.
The 21-year-old told The Associated Press: “It’s fantastic. The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor…the people that are doing the heroic things are the people answering phones 24 hours a day in the Trevor call centers. I think that out of everything that I have done so far in my career, I think this is absolutely one of the most important, if not the most important, thing that I’m associated with.”
